🎗️ Pink October: Raising Awareness and Supporting Patients Together!
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Patient Advisory Board member Bröstcancerföreningen Amazona Stockholm continues its commitment to breast cancer awareness, patient support and well-being through a wide range of activities bringing people together in Sweden.
💗 Knowledge and Information
From lectures on HER2-positive and metastatic breast cancer to online sessions addressing the side effects of antihormonal therapy and opportunities to learn about participation in clinical research, Amazona offers patients access to valuable information and direct dialogue with experts.
🎨 Creativity, Art and Solidarity
Creative workshops and artistic initiatives, including charity art auctions, provide opportunities to express emotions, connect with others and raise funds to support people affected by breast cancer.
☕ Community and Well-being
Through local gatherings, informal meetings and shared activities, Amazona creates welcoming spaces where patients can connect, share experiences and find mutual support.
These initiatives remind us that breast cancer awareness goes beyond research and healthcare: it is also about emotional well-being, access to information and building communities where no one faces breast cancer alone. 💗 Because no one should have to face breast cancer alone.
👏 A heartfelt thank you to Amazona Stockholm, its volunteers, experts and everyone involved in making these activities possible and supporting the TETRIS mission.

🎗️ Breast Cancer Screening in Europe: What Do the Latest Eurostat Data Tell Us?
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, new figures published by Eurostat highlight significant differences in breast cancer screening rates across European countries. @eu_eurostat
📊 In 2024, the highest percentages of women aged 50–69 who had undergone a mammogram within the previous two years were recorded in:
🇩🇰 Denmark – 82.1%
🇸🇪 Sweden – 82.0%
🇫🇮 Finland – 81.6%
At the other end of the spectrum:
🇭🇺 Hungary – 27.2%
🇨🇾 Cyprus – 29.2%
🇵🇱 Poland – 33.8%
💡 What do these figures tell us?
They highlight substantial differences in screening participation across Europe and reinforce the importance of promoting awareness, improving access to screening services and addressing inequalities in breast cancer care.
At TETRIS, our research focuses on another essential aspect of the breast cancer journey: improving the prediction of long-term side effects after radiotherapy to support more personalised follow-up care.
From early detection to long-term follow-up, every stage matters in improving outcomes and quality of life for people affected by breast cancer.
🎀 Awareness, early detection, research and personalised care all contribute to better breast cancer care.
