🎗️ Pink October: Raising Awareness Together!
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Patient Advisory Board member Cuore di Donna continues its commitment to breast cancer awareness, prevention and early detection through a series of initiatives involving local communities in Italy.
💗 Pink Padel & Second Hand – 18 October, Osio Sotto
A mixed doubles padel tournament bringing together sport, solidarity and awareness! Starting at 10:30 AM at Padel Prime, Cuore di Donna volunteers will welcome participants at an information stand dedicated to breast cancer prevention, with the opportunity to register for the 2027 screening campaign and visit a charity second-hand clothing and accessories stall.
🎀 Pink October in Calcinate
Two days dedicated to awareness, information and prevention, featuring a conference, a community walk, screening activities and opportunities to learn more about early detection and register for screening programmes.
These initiatives remind us that breast cancer awareness goes beyond research and healthcare: it is also about communities coming together, sharing information and supporting one another.

🇸🇪 The 3rd TETRIS General Assembly has successfully concluded in Stockholm!
On 8-9 October, the TETRIS consortium gathered at the Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Centre, hosted by our partner Karolinska University Hospital, for two days of scientific exchange, collaboration and discussions on the project`s progress and next steps. The meeting brought together consortium partners, Scientific Advisory Board members, Professor Alfons Hoekstra and Professor Carolyn Taylor, and patient representatives, Bröstcancerföreningen Amazona Stockholm and Associazione Cuore di Donna, providing an important opportunity to share results, exchange perspectives and strengthen collaboration across the different areas of research. @bcfamazona @brostcancerforeningen_amazona @associazione_cuoredidonna @Associazione Cuore di Donna
💡 Many key takeaways emerged from these two days, from making better use of existing clinical data to advance personalised risk prediction and exploring the potential of Digital Twins, to strengthening patient involvement and translating scientific advances into meaningful improvements in post-treatment care.
The General Assembly also featured educational sessions on AI in radiotherapy and Male breast cancer, broadcast from Stockholm and delivered by Maria Carmen De Santis from Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano, as well as valuable contributions from our Scientific and Patient Advisory Boards.
